TOday is a very sad day for our family. We lost our precious little Sassy. She was approxiamtely 10 yrs old and was our very first Sugar Glider.
We rescued her from a 5th grade class room almost 8 yrs ago. She was so tiny and under nourished due to her owners lack of understanding of what her nutritional needs were! She was fed hamster food for so long that she was as tiny as a smaller 5 month old and never got any bigger. She was a little spit fire hence the name Sassy. She has never seen another Sugar GLider ever and see was less then enthusied when we got her a "buddy". We blame her for all of the beginnings of C & E Glider Safari! What a joy she has been to us for so many years. My heart breaks knowing that i will not see here here any longer! She has been sick for awhile, we didnt think she would make it through the summer 2 yrs ago. I guess she just wasnt ready to go. And 2 yrs later on January 01 2010 our sweet baby Sassy passed over the Rainbow Bridge to wait for us on the other side in the big trees just for her and Angel and the many others waiting with her!
